Survey: Americans are losing faith … in just about everything!
We were encouraged that science ranked second to the military, with 40 percent of respondents expressing “a great deal” of confidence in the pocket-protector crowd. In next place was medicine, at 39 percent, considerably above the Supreme Court, with 32 percent.
Sliding further down the scale, organized religion plunged to 20 percent, organized labor fell to 13 percent, and Congress and the executive branch shared an 11 percent billing. Scraping the bottom of the barrel, we find TV and the press, both with 9 percent. On the bright side, there’s nowhere to go but up!
